More Meat for the Meat Eaters

Part of this process that really appeals to my inner hunter gatherer: the quest to acquire the ingredients, specifically the exotic and mundane meats required to see the A Feast of Ice and Fire journey through to completion.

Really.
A while back, I published the meat list, detailing what I needed to acquire.  However, I have since changed the rules, and added more recipes to the list.  Plus, I managed to find a number of things on the original list. (thank goodness for the chest freezer!)

So I thought I should review and update the meat list.  Here goes:

Needed:
  • 2 lbs of ground pork  (1.5 lbs x 2 recipes)
  • 2 racks of lamb (2.5 lbs total)
  • 3 lbs stew beef (1.5 lbs  x 2 recipes)
  • 1 rabbit, whole
  • 10 hamsi or other small fresh fish like sardines, anchovies, or smelt
  • 1 lb halibut
  • 1 rattlesnake (2 lbs)  (possible source)
  • 4 quail, whole (possible source)
  • 4 boar tenderloins (possible source)
  • 5 pigeons (possible source)
  • 4 medium trout (2 ea. x 2 recipes)
  • 1/4 lb ground lamb
  • Bacon
Acquired:
  • 1 lbs of ground pork
  • 3 lbs top round of bison beef  
  • 1 can escargot
  • 12 clams 
  • 1 rabbit, whole
  • 1 lb kangaroo meat*
  • 1 lb goat meat*
  • duck giblets*
  • turkey giblets*
  • 1 lb lamb soup bones*
  • 1/2 lb lamb meat*
  • Freeze Dried locusts crickets
  • 1 lb lamb bones
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 1/2 lbs cod **
  • 1 can crab meat**
  • 1 can clam meat**
  • Bacon
Cooked:
  • 1 chicken (6 lbs) -
  • 4oz smoked trout
  • 4 oz smoked salmon
  • 1 can escargot
  •  1 duck (4 lbs)
  • 1/4 pound salmon fillet
  • Bacon
