#31 Chickpea Paste

Hummus is really tasty, and I am excited to learn how to prepare this healthy snack at home.  I better really like this stuff because the smallest jar of Tahini that I could find contains enough for me to make this recipe every week, all year...

"If you want 2 tbsp of Tahini you must answer these riddles three..."

This is another of those recipes in A Feast of Ice and Fire that calls for the use of a food processor. In medieval times, the food processor was probably one of the farmer's bastard children, relegated to the pantry to work all day in exchange for the honor of being clothed and sheltered.

I don't have a food processor, and it's not likely that I will get one any time soon.  So I used my chopper to break down the chickpeas and my blender to mix it all together.

But will it blend?

It was rough going, but it got there.  I added more liquid, and used a long wooden chopstick to help get it started, and eventually ended up with a LOT of delicious, creamy Chickpea Paste!

With some effort and undue strain on my blender motor - Success!
